The Geological Institute of Romania announces that the Royal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium has awarded the “Henri Buttgenbach” Prize to Dr. Ștefan Marincea—a Senior Researcher (Grade I) at the Geological Institute of Romania and a professor at the University of Liège—in recognition of his in-depth research conducted between 2021 and 2023 on the mineralogy of skarns in Romania and the conditions of their formation. The award ceremony took place in Brussels in December 2024.

 

Le prix Henri Buttgenbach a été décerné, à Monsieur Ștefan Marincea,

by Michel Willem, President of the Academy and Director of the Class of Sciences,

and by Didier Viviers, Permanent Secretary of the Academy.
